The Accountant.

A bit sappy in parts. I love Anna Kendrick. Don't know how to judge Ben's performance.

Watch La La Land. Ryan Gosling is a fave of mine. Those piano jams. Awesome.

Agree with all.  Really like Birbigs and wanted to like it more.

Split was a fun ride. and the ending!

Just watched 10 Cloverfield Lane and it reminded me of Split. Barely get a second to catch your breath before the next thing, confined space with few characters, lots of tension throughout. What a ride.

If you were a big fan of Guardians of the Galaxy 1, then you will be a big fan of 2.  Might be a little disjointed for those who are indifferent, but I loved it.

GG2 was too long. That movie should be 30 min shorter.

I wasn't a big fan of GOTG1. Partly because I didn't really understand the plot at all.  And also it wasn't as funny as people said.

I didn't even have to get up to pee in the middle of it so it wasn't that long.

although this thread is filled with musings about a whole assload of shitty movies which i really can't believe so many of you waste your time watching and knowing that this is probably a futile attempt at injecting some life into this otherwise crapfest of a thread, the director's definitive edition of Heat came out yesterday and can be picked up for $8 on amazon

yeah, i realize chris pratt isn't in it flanked by comic book characters, but it's still one of the best movies of all time

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I LOVE Heat.  Who knew Melissa McCarthy and Sandra Bullock would make such a dynamic comedy duo?

I used to fall asleep to the DVD all the time, it has one of those super loud shootout scenes as the title page or whatever and it would startle me awake  :frown:

They were both very good, fun movies.

You guys should've warned me more about Manchester by the Sea. That movie is devastating. Fantastic, but devastating.

will it make me cry? i could watch it on a flight tomorrow but will save it for the privacy of my own home if it's going to make me cry.

Maybe. I'm a movie crier but did not cry during Manchester. More just felt heavy than anything else.
