Moonlight was great, very depressing but so well made. was surprised to see Mahershala Ali only in ~1/3 of the movie.

Light Between the Oceans should be called some boring people steal and baby and then are still boring.  Didn't watch the last 45 min though so some exciting stuff might have happened?

Going to watch Rogue 1 tonight for the 1st time.  Is this a prequel to the prequels or to the original star wars movies?

Did anyone see The Space Between Us? Trying to decide whether to watch. Also need your take on Arrival so I know whether to take you seriously.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I'm watching the end of Silence right now.  Was looking forward to this movie, thought it sounded interested, dealt with some interesting subject matter.   Nope, its bad AF.  Super slow, actually a super religousy movie, might as well have been directed by Mel Gibson.

I hate when movies about 2 christian missionaries searching for another christian missionary have religious content.   :Yuck:

That's fair. It was a lot bigger part of the movie then I anticipated?. To tie you out, here: God appears several times in the movie as a disembodied voice. That's not something I expected in a film with A list actors

I really don't get the Mel Gibson reference here.

I think Harold Cronk is probably the name you are looking for.

Cross post with the phone thread, im very jealous of the fact that you own a nexus, and to K-S-U, I saw the Space between us and it is a good feel good movie.

I've watched rogue one at least 5 times.  It's great.  WAY better than TFA.

Forrest whitaker's character is a shoutout to the cartoon series/novels.

Finally got around to watching "What We Do in the Shadows" and it was a real treat. After seeing that and Hunt for the Wilderpeople, I am very excited to see what Taika Waititi does with Thor: Ragnarok.

What We Do in the Shadows was hilarious. I hope they do a sequel with the werewolves. Love those guys.

I liked TFA, but I agree R1 makes it look a bit stale by comparison.
