Went to the new theater in MHK for a pre-open screening.  The Ovation theater was pretty nice.  Power recliners and in seat service are pretty sharp.  Watched Suicide Squad which was absolutely awful but was still worth going to check out the new digs.

I really enjoyed Ben-Hur last night. Whether your religious or not, everyone loves a comeback story.

Nocturnal animals - very conflicted here.... Pretty good story ruined by a terrible director. Tom Ford needs to stick to making clothes.

I am going to see Rouge One on Sunday.  Can't believe I have to wait that long.  I blame myself.  I haven't instilled the proper priory assignment skills in my family.

I cry every single time I see it.  Saw it in the Theater when my wife had her turn to pick a movie years ago, and just assumed it would be trash. Like most things, I was completely wrong.

I saw Love Actually for the first time like only 2 years ago.  I'm upset that I missed out on a good movie for so long and it is now solidly in my rotation of Christmas movies.

Saw Rogue One. Loved how they perfectly recreated so many characters from a nearly 40yo movie. That was the most enjoyable thing about it. Story itself is kinda jumpy and at times even boring. Robo sidekick was good but most of the main characters were very flat. Great villains tho.

Overall I liked it. I liked that it fit with the older movies so well.

The only thing that really confused me was no Bothins? WTH? That's like the ONE thing we learned about stealing the plans from the original trilogy and they're nowhere to be found. Or was that the second Death Star?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

Dark but good movie:  I Smile Back.  Sarah Silverman leads as a suburban housewife that is bi-polar, self-medicates with coke, meth, weed.  And she's also a nymphomaniac.  Very intense movie.  Never knew Sarah Silverman was smoking hot, but she is in the movie.  Definitely not uplifting.
