Misconduct was p good.  Josh is a dreamboat and old ass Al Pacino and Anthony Hopkins were good supporting cast.

oh yeah.  saw that last week.  went to see it on a whim without really knowing anything about it except that I expected it to kind of suck (like the last live action jungle book).  pleasantly surprised that I was wrong!  really fun.  though there are some legitimately tense moments and a few jump scares <-- wtf this is a kids movie.

Mr. Nobody

Fun to look at it, tough to understand.  Wouldn't recommend.

I thought it was pretty weak. Most of the nuance of character was ignored for more CGI action scenes. Its a movie marketed to 5 year olds that is really meant for like junior high boys. I regret taking my kids but that's on me.  And how many times do I need to see a slow motion shot of the beginning of a fight where both fighers are jumping in the air at each other fists cocked like a transformers movie?

Actually, given the amount of time and the sheer number of characters they try and introduce, I thought they actually did a pretty alright job with character nuance.  Especially for a "kids movie."

In particular, I thought they did well with Sherkon (sp?  the tiger) -- how they went into his backstory and showed why he had a disdain for humans, that was actually pretty reasonable.  Would've been very easy just to paint him as "he's the bad guy who is evil."

can we talk about the character's arc in the jungle book?  i'd love to cut through the fat and just focus on the character's arc.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

I thought so too.  I chalked it up to getting tired of the superhero movie.  There isn't really any new ground for them to cover for me.

I think part of their success is the character development they did in their first movies/origin stories.  Now they are just chucking characters in there 3 or 4 at a time.

Redbox'd Hunger Games:  Mockingjay: Part II over the weekend.  It was pretty good.  Probably the best one since the first one.  I just never really liked Peter's character.  It's like one minute he's trying to kill her and then they play that "real or not real" game and they are BFF's again.  Would much rather have had her end of with Gale than Peter.

It is only like 41% of the Edward/Jacob rivalry. I mean, Gale barely made an effort.
