I just learned that they broke Allegiant (last Divergent series book) into 2 movies. So the Allegiant movie that just came out is not the end.

Watched Happy Valley on Netflix last night. Pretty well done. Good showcase of the Sandusky/Penn State fiasco from basically all angles. After watching, I can absolutely see the exact same thing playing out if it had been Snyder in Joe Pa's shoes. I'll just assume Snyder would have done more than "tell his boss" if someone saw Dimel or some longtime assistant playing check the oil with some teen in his private shower or something.

I think it will be decent. Deadpool is probably the best superhero movie though. Sorry to burst anyone's bubble.

Triple 9 was disappointing. Watched in same week that I watched Revenant, reminds me of differences between great movies and not-so-great movies.

Seeing it this afternoon, whole office is taking off at lunch for the 2015 numbers kicking ass and renting out a movie theater (Please merge with elite office thread, tia)

Batman v Superman: dawn of justice
Decent enough film, plenty of explosions, tried to borrow a good deal from Frank Miller's Batman: the dark Knight returns but missed the mark more oft than not. The motive for Batman and Superman fighting is paper thin and [spoiler alert] it gets tossed aside just as easy. Ben does a decent job and approaches compelling at times but his whole character feels very pretentious and you cant relate to him. Superman is the regular snoozer of being interesting that Hollywood has been pitching and there's a very forced feel to the film of setting up some avengers a la justice league sequel that they'll inevitably be announcing.

Yeah, the complex between Batman and superman was weakly developed. Doomsday was one of the LOTR trolls that they teleported to this movie
