Going to see The Revenant today.. thought about adding Room on top after but that seems like a lot of movie sitting in one day.

World War Z - one of the worst zombie related movies I've ever seen and a huge insult to the book.  Somehow this piece of crap grossed over half a billion worldwide.

The Hammer - (Adam Carolla version, not the the deaf college wrestler version)  Had low expectations and this movie exceeded it.  I IRL lol'd during the La Brea tar pit scene and am pretty sure he ad libbed those lines.  Underrated comedy flick.

Street Wars  :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: :raccoon: - Although I've done no research, I'm pretty sure Boyz N The Hood knocked this movie off.  This was much better as the story failed to translate without the ultralite aircraft

Steve Jobs. Kinda meh but I'm a Fasbender fan. Pretty much anything w/ Seth Rogan has a cap of how good it can be.

Mr. Holmes -    1/2

synopsis: Alzheimer's gandalf tries to remember why he retired from sherlocking by writing down his last case from 30 years ago, while the hot redhead lady from Love Actually has aged horribly and turned into an unhappy Welsh mom. Also starring an adorable but too smart for his own good youngster and an apiary of bees.

Room was good as advertised. I still think the kid out acted Brie, but I do love her as an actress, so I'm happy for her.

The thing with Bridge of Spies was every character fell really neatly into their place, and the drama didn't entice me that much. I was never really worried.

Yeah, I was really hoping for a return of Clooney/BWAT greatness.    It had a couple of moments, but it seriously just kind of ends, and I was like WTF?

SPOILER ALERT: The Titanic sinks at the end of Titanic.

Anyone who took 7th grade social studies knows how Bridge of Spies ends. Just because you know the ending doesn't make a movie void of drama.

Emily Blunt was not in it so you probably wouldn't enjoy BoS, lib7.

Agreed - maybe its just me but there was never much tension.  Same way I felt after Martian.  Neither are bad movies but both seemed like they followed a template.

Room: a sandwich made of two turds of the most boring halves of any movie ever surrounding a really good scene.

I'll allow that the first half set up the great scene, but man, what a rough way to get there, and then you're left with another hour of turd city before it mercifully ends.

the meat in the sandwich you're describing was maybe the most powerful thing I've ever watched in a movie.
