Beasts of no nation -  6/7 but no rewatchability. Same director as true detective s1, I'm very interested in seeing more of his work.

Saw Crimson Peak this weekend, as a fan of Guillermo Del Toro's work I enjoyed it. It is more of a nostalgic throwback to old-time spooky, Val Lewton-style thrillers than a modern style horror movie. Keeping that in mind, I think many of you would enjoy it.

I'll be sure to keep that load of nonsense in mind when I never watch that movie.

Sorry Yard Dog that was probably a little harsh but your post made me feel stupid so as a defense mechanism I decided to slam you.  No offense.

How great is The Insider? was blessed enough to watch that again this week. Michael Mann is a national treasure.

None taken. I enjoyed it, but it is just as much an entry into historical fiction as it is horror which is not everyone's cup of tea. I'd recommend if you don't pay the theater ticket price to try and catch it on Netflix if only for the superb camera work/directing and the great acting by Hiddleston, Chastain, Hunnam, and Wasikowska.

steve jobs is very sorkiny and just okay. fassbender is good and winslet is even better but the rest of the movie is very meh.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

I rented Jurassic World over the weekend.  I think it was pretty good.  I liked when Chris Pratt was riding his motorcycle with his pack of Raptors on the hunt to kill a big mutant T-Rex.  It's like wow, that's a pretty badass thing that's happening right there.

Also rented Spy.  It was ok.

Movies I need to see but Gooch refuses to watch: Jurassic World, Jem & the Holograms, The Martian, Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials, Crimson Peak (only cause Charlie Hunnam is in it).

Jurassic World is bad. Way too many people died. Just unnecessary.

I don't know. let's be honest here, you put people and dinosaurs together, and a whole lot of people are going to die.

I actually felt way worse about all of those "Long-Necks" that got murdered than I did about any of the people.
