Watched escape plan this weekend on HBO. I usually try to stay away from Arnold and Sylvester movies, but I will go to bat for this one.

I've seen Primer twice and I'm still not 100% sure of what the hell is going on.  I still like it tho.

Unfinished business with Vince Vaughn and Franco's brother was so bad, that it made me angry. I mean, like worse than New York Minute with the Olsen twins. Wow!

Saw Penguins of Madagascar this morning at the K-JO 105.5 Canned Film Festival (every Wed you get into a kids movie for free by bringing a can of food to donate for Second Harvest Community Food Bank, today I brought kidney beans lol). I thought the movie was hilarious.  Many laugh out loud parts for me and lots of action for the kids.  The only thing that bothered me is that I recognized the voice of the evil octopus "Dave" the entire movie but I just couldn't place it.  In the credits I found out it was John Malkovich.  Also that Ben Cumberbatch guy you guys all like was in it.  I think one of the penguins.

BTW, next week is Dolphin Tale 2.  Will I need to see Dolphin Tale 1 first to understand the plot or no?

no. also, and this is probably obvious, but dt2 couldn't hold dt1's dorsal fin.

Took my kids to see the Jurassic movie tonight.  They loved it.  I was entertained by the gore, but I would have liked to have seen more of that machine gun mowing dinosaurs down.

It wasn't that bad. It had a young adult novel feel to it though. Kind of reminded me of the Silo series.

Snowpiercer had some good aspects and some bad.  I liked it but I decided not to give a crap that the goal of the good guys was basically to kill everyone.

Wild Tales was pretty good.

So was Blackhat.

The Guest was odd, initially, but, eventually, bad.

Anyone know if the elements of Gone Girl that showcase a woman's desire to eat, gain weight and become relaxed in her appearance are referenced in the book?

Been a minute since I've read it but the book framed it as partially relaxed in appearance and partially trying to change appearance so not to be recognized
