Whiplash - Not as great as I was expecting, but still very good. It just seemed like a pretty simple story. I'd love to know how they did the scenes with Miles Teller playing drums, because no way an actor is that good, right?

Quote
Although a visual double was used, all of Andrew's drumming were performed by Miles Teller himself to pre-recorded tracks. About 40% of Teller's drumming was used in the soundtrack.

Quote
Miles Teller, who has played the drums since he was 15, received blisters on his hands due to the vigorous, unconventional style of jazz drumming. Some of his blood was on the drumsticks and the drum set as a result.

Little-known fact: Lars Ulrich once entered a Lars Ulrich look-alike contest and got second place.

While I understand that the relevance is what is important, there is much cooler Lars trivia out there. His father's profession being one.

Nightcrawler is very good.  It's been said before, but Gyllenhaal does a great job.  Apparently it was the directorial debut of the guy who directed it.  Good on him.  Great story.  Great script.  Well done all around.

i've never really heard of her stupid ass before the tammy commercials, had no idea she was the next funny fat white lady.  reminds me of the older one, rosie o'donnell, and the one before that, rosanne barr.
