Good idea. It was about 10% funny, 20% sad, and 70% just friggin weird. Save yourself the time.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, K-State fans could have beheaded the entire KU team at midcourt, and K-State fans would be celebrating it this morning.  They are the ISIS of Big 12 fanbases.

I am going to watch Frank this evening.

oh man i think you will really, really like it
I did! I thought the transition of John in Austin was a bit abrupt and drastic, and maybe could have been spread throughout the movie. And his hometown was fictional,  (although the google maps was not!) :surprised:
Yeah, he definitely transitioned, but he just saw it as the culmination of his life to that point. "THIS IS THE BEST NIGHT OF MY LIFE!"  I'm sure that was true -- he'd definitely built it up.

But man, is Frank a great character or what.  "KISS ME!  KISS ME! KISS ME APHRODITE!"

the judge- it was ok.
whiplash- pretty darn good.
liberal arts- enjoyed it. very dlewy.
wasn't whiplash fantastic?  JK Simmons has always been a pretty fun actor, but man, was he something in Whiplash.

i've never heard of liberal arts.  decent enough reviews on rotten tomatoes and i can see the little sundance insignia on the poster.  looks like something i'd enjoy.

Also, I watched Frank again last night.  And yep, still good.

yeah. the movie was very good but jk simmons was great. i do think you would enjoy liberal arts.

@dlew12 - jk simmons hosting snl right now!
missed it!

Or film a movie for 12 years. Boyhood is super shitty, but it's got a lot of nominations right now.

Nah, it's a good flick man.  I Think it's very American considering a lot of us are products of single parents.

Yeah - it was crap. But can you really blame an adaptation of a teen novel for being directed at a teen audience?

i would like blame it. it is possible to do this well and they didnt. lazy filmmaking and visual effects that wouldnt cut it in a cable tv show 10 years ago.

Edge of Tomorrow ... wow! loved it. had no idea what it was going in. so so good. one of those where you know there are tons of holes you could poke into the plot, but don't care.

The Drop ... pretty good! basically because of Hardy and Gandolfini.

It most certainly did.  They should have had them win the lottery on that very day too even though they didn't play and maybe find out they were having twins together and that cancer had been cured, all of it.  Really ratchet up the good vibes on the way out.
My prescience is fully engorged.  It throbs with righteous accuracy.  I am sated.

Are the reviews of John Wick serious?  I feel like everyone is just trolling Keanu at this point.  Anyone seen it, is it worth watching?
