Guys, Guardians of the Galaxy was super awesome if you're into sci-fi fantasy stuff. It's more Star Wars-y than it is comic book-y.

I poled a couple 14-15 year olds and they said it was v good.

I'm a big fan of both genres but admittedly the space stuff grabs me harder.

Guardians of the galaxy was really good.

Probably shame yourself thread, but I saw tmnt tonight and it was as bad and as Michael Bay-ish as you would imagine.

If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Daris and I were talking tonight. Between The Lego Movie and Guardians of the Galaxy, has Chris Pratt been the lead in the best two movies of the past 8 months?

Blue Ruin

Pretty intense movie about a broken average joe seeking revenge for his murdered parents.

Why do people hate Michael Bay?  I mean I know everyone is supposed to, but why?

great question and a tough answer but I'm just gonna lob one up and guess it's because his movies suck

The Rock, Bad Boys, Armageddon, the first Transformers, The Purge: Anarchy.  All good movies.  Maybe people who can't think for themselves have been trained into hating everything Michael Bay because they think it's trendy.  Food for thought.

Saw, When the Game Stands Tall, probably the worst movie I have ever seen.  No exaggeration at all.  It was free though, so there's that?

Yup, no room in cinema for mindless, fun, action packed summer blockbusters.  Please keep my movies emotionally deep, mentally taxing and spiritually challenging.  Good grief go read a book you idiot.

Watched Goodbye World on Netflix last night. Ends a bit abruptly, seems rushed, but all in all enjoyable flick.
