Didn't care for Noah.  Couldn't get past all the weird stuff, like Noah and his wife wearing blue jeans throughout most of the movie.

 just watched this last night.

Boyhood was really good. Makes you think about the fleeting nature of life and stuff.

furthermore, i actually have pity and sadness for all the millenials that hold sandlot up as some kind of holy grail for kid baseball movies. i mean it's not horrible but you'd have to have crap for brains to think that it's anything more than some cheesy after school special when compared to bnb. dumbing down of america you say? obviously would be my response.

Sounds like someone should start a Greatest Kid Baseball Movie OAT thread with a poll thingy built into it.

Edge of Tomorrow

yep, really liked it

Just saw this on second run.  It was really good, much better than I expected.
Tom Cruise should get killed more often in other movies.

I wanted to see the new Transformers but when my 15 year old nephew told me it sucked because there was no plot, I decided I don't need to see it.

It's a Michael Bay film, c'mon.

I mean, yeah, if you watched the first 3 Transformers movies and still had a desire to see the 4th, I wouldn't let some 15 year old sway your opinion.

Well he said it was worse than the others even. Also, when I said, "Didn't Mark Wahlberg even make it good?" He said, "Who's that? You mean the main guy?"

You're going to consider someone's opinion on a movie who doesn't even know who Mark Wahlberg is? I think you should listen to Rage's advice. I'm not a fan of Michael Bay. However, if you enjoyed the other films, and wanted to go see this one. Why wouldn't you?

I got a second opinion from another 15 year old boy (who is a big fan of the other movies) and he said, "It wasn't that terrible." Not a glowing review.

What I am saying is that if it is so terrible that a 15 year old boy is saying there is no plot then it must be terrible because 15 year old boys don't generally care that much about plot lines.  :dunno:

You realize that these 15 year old boys were like 9 when Transformers first came out, right? Of course they liked the movies more when they were 9.

Mrs. Gooch, let me pose a question to you and you answer as honestly as you can:

We all know Trans4mers (see what I did there?) has dinosaurs in it. So my question is, when was the last time a movie with dinosaurs in it wasn't totally bad ass and awesome?

Does it really have dinosaurs? Or just dinobots?

Also, The Land Before Time was pretty badass.

Guardians of the Galaxy. What a joy. Summertime movie making at its best. Probably my favorite marvel movie, but I'm way more of a space epic guy than a superhero guy.

How many swear words and sex type stuff in it?  Will I be shamed if I take grade school kids?

For example, my kids get to see Avengers and Lord of the Rings?  How would it compare to those on swear words and sex?

No sex. There are some swear words. No F-bombs that I can remember.

Plenty of crappy movies have dead dinosaurs in them. So I guess I should clarify by saying every movie with a living dinosaur in it is bad ass.

I don't know, I think dinosaurs make everything better. Can you imagine how boring the creation museum would be without the dinosaur exhibit?

completely agree here. dead dinos are a recipe for a disaster but living dinos = badass.
