I watched Dawn of the Planet of the Apes this past weekend.  Got a nerd boner.

Sidenote: 3d glasses don't enhance length, but added a little girth to my profile.  KSUBlumpkin gf didn't agree, but what does she know...she has a vagina.

A little late here, but finally watched 12 Years A Slave last night. :frown:

I haven't seen all of the Oscar Best Picture noms yet, but I can understand how it won. McConaughey must've been pretty incredible in Dallas Buyers Club because I thought the guy who played Solomon was amazing. That final scene

I watched "The Last Waltz" this past weekend for the first time in years. For those that don't know, it's a documentary directed by Martin Scorsese covering the final show that The Band performed before breaking up. It was at the Winterland Theatre in SF - the first venue The Band every played as The Band. It's considered to be one of the best, if the THE best, concert documentaries ever made.

Guests include Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Ronnie Hawkins, Dr. John, Eric Clapton, Muddy Waters, and many more.

I give it 5 Resist Temptation burgers.
Please don't ban me, Mr. Dave.

Robbie Robertson shreds in this, and Levon is and probably always will be my favorite drummer.

The boss? I'm not a huge Springsteen fan but I'll check out that show because you're a stud and wouldn't like it unless it rocks. TIA for the recommendation.

Agree on both fronts. Everyone else in the group sort of hated Robbie. Levon was really butthurt about the movie saying that 'Sese made it seem like Robbie was the frontman.

At the time, the movie editors accomplished a very impressive feat by editing out a massive cocaine booger hanging from Neil Young's nostril that was present as he came on stage.

Also, Levon hated that Neil Diamond was invited. Thinking about it, he was sort if the one that didn't fit.

Out of the Furnace was enjoyable. I think they could have improved it by condensing the story line a bit, though.

Might be a shame yourself post, but the only WA movies I really like  Fantastic Mr. Fox and Bottle Rocket.      The rest just seem to try too hard.
