collateral was great.  i don't know that his current project looks all that interesting but i'm sure i'll watch it just because mann.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Collateral and Miami Vice were great. Vice had some cheesy dialogue but that wasn't Mann's fault. Mann was really the first Hollywood director to film realistic gunfights. He was also the first director to successfully use tracking shots (like the ending sequence of episode four in true detective that everyone blew their load over). I'll watch a movie if Mann's directing even if I initially have no interest in the subject matter.

I stand corrected. I read an interview with true detectives director where he credited Mann as the first one to master the tracking shot.

i completely nerd out for long takes/tracking shots.

Cuaron is the best, imo. The car scene, and shootout scene in Children of Men is just jaw-dropping.

also Atonement has an incredible one with like a million extras on a beach in WWII. pretty amazeballz

Children of Men shot was phenomenal. I'll have to check out the other two movies.

WoWS- incredibly entertaining and very funny. loved Jonah hill in it, definitely not anything spectacular by leo. don't think it deserved a best picture nominee, but it was a movie id watch again.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Has anyone seen Divergent? GF reads the books and wants to go tonight. At least we're going to the theater downtown where I can drink through it.

The reviews look pretty bad. I would try to talk her into seeing Bad Words instead. Lie if you have to.

Because they are a quick enjoyable read. Entertaining without having to think too hard.
Also when the movie comes out, hot guys...the one in Divergent isn't even under age.

Which is funny you even know what that is since you didn’t read the books. I am watching the trailer (bad words) now but not in love.

Tell her that you were able to catch up on the book today because you had a slow work day. Say that it was a quick enjoyable read, but that you want to let it digest before Hollywood completely ruins the image you have in your head for everything.

She's rough ridin' good. Let's make Heath feel bad to the point where he gives in. In response to my emails:

If you don’t want to go see it, that’s ok. I am just wondering who else I can get to go with me some other time.
Is there anything in red box that we want to see?  Saving Mr. Banks and Frozen? :) At the McDonalds prospect location, haha.
I am so checked out right now!

She knows I wouldn't watch those movies in a million years and she's making Divergent look like The Wolf of wall street to me right now.
