Just watched Gravity and it's a top 3 favorite movie ever for me. Visually stunning.

Stevesie60 thinks it sucked

I said it was an amazing experience, just not a great movie. Love the visuals. Made you feel cold and alone the entire movie. But the plot was really, really simple.

I agree with S60 btw

simplicity is the key to fine design

It was funny listening to 810's thoughts on the movie. I think it was Danny who said he didn't like the ending. He wanted Sandra to land in the middle of a war.

There are so many great ones.  The polar bears hunting and the tie reversed story and the indoor pool steam.  Oh and his hands and the butterflies that get by on their looks.  Significant time savings lol.

I'm not sure how Gravity could be in anyone's top 3 movies ever, unless you've only seen about a half dozen movies in your life.

I watched about 2/3 of Wolf of Wallstreet.

I was entertained but holy crap it's long

Also, it is effing exhausting to watch, which is probably for effect. There is so much going on ALL the time.

if you got exhasted just by watching 2/3rds of a movie then i shudder at the thought of you trying to sharpen knives with asava in preparation for a camping trip that you two will then go on. better call in sick for that one cire.

It's the most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. It's an incredibly accurate depiction of space and that's something I'm highly interested in. So yea, it's in my top 3 favs.

I don't think that flying around from satellite to space station to whatever is incredibly accurate.  Other than that though, maybe

There are a few minor details that are wrong (Sandra Bullocks hair doesn't float in zero G in some scenes) but I've never seen a more realistic presentation of a spacewalk. You actually feel like you're in outer space, it's amazing.

one of those (debatably) might be somewhat true. the other two are pretty far off. since you are the obvious intellect of the bunch, i'll leave it to you to figure out which is (are?) which.

The Place Beyond the Pines .... pretty good! probably too long though. i had completely forgotten what was in the trailer so i had no idea what the story was, was thrown off when SPOILER ALERT gosling died so early in the movie.

Stranger Than Fiction ... hadn't watched this in a while, man i really enjoy it! will ferrell is pretty good along with emma thompson and dustin hoffman, and i love the crap out of maggie gyllenhaal in this.
