I watched Up.

I liked how it made me feel.

The Crazies is on it's way next on my Netflix queue. We shall see how that goes.

Watched "Mr. Warmth: The Don Rickles Project" last night and shot beer out my nose laughing at one point. that's one funny man.

I did a DVR doubleheader of The Magnificent Seven and Unforgiven the other night. Loved them both, but Unforgiven was on another level

Rented Hot Tube Time Machine

I enjoyed it.

Hot Tube huh? They were quick to make the porno version I see. I'm sure it was quite enjoyable...

Black Dynamite is incredible.

No, it isn't.

Very, very, very, very, very, very, very, mildly enjoyable.

life is beautiful

watched 1st half one night and was about to return it w/o finishing.  started playing during dinner the next night and was mesmerized by it.  definitely a great payoff in the end.  in emoticons it would go something like this.

Love westerns: was my dirty little secret.

Just recently watched The Goods, probably one of the worst movies of all time from start to finish.

Things I Learned from PW's Recommended Movies, Session 1

Congrats! At the very least you can hold your head high and enjoy the fact that you're the 2nd person (probably) on goEMAW.com that has seen Victor Erice's The Spirit of the Beehive. We are proud of you! And we'll all be watching some of your recommendations.

Things that should probably be known about PoetWarrior's motion picture taste:

  • PoetWarrior's tastes don't particularly align with the tastes of others who have seen a comparable number & type of film. This can be viewed as a positive or a negative depending on your viewpoint.
  • PoetWarrior completely dismisses elements of films others find to be noteworthy/great.
  • PoetWarrior believes film should be experienced and felt, not intellectually understood.
  • PoetWarrior believes what the viewer sees is the most important element of a motion picture.

I watched it last night.

What I learned:

1)  After also seeing Days of Heaven, I would guess PW finds more beauty in the landscape of Kansas than most.
2)  PW does not need dialogue to enjoy a film.

Blindly went to Exit Through the Gift Shop last night - one of the most refreshing films I've seen in a while.

1) Kansas is a beautiful place, as is every spec of the universe.
2) Absolutely true, this is key.

Liked Inception. Great stuff.

It wasn't great and that's why it was disappointing.

Nolan should stop directing films with budgets larger than $25 mil.

/thread.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

Saw Inception (IMAX) and Predators. Predators was a bit better than mediocre. Was enjoyable though. Inception was awesome.

bad like not very funny.  funny enough to watch though so don't do anything drastic, like catch it on fire.

The unrated version includes more of the *eff* word and an average pair of conchongas.
