I do not regret watching The Iron Claw.
I thought it was really well done. Going into it I had no idea what it was really about so wasn't expecting it to be so depressing.

It was supes depressing, but it ended on an optimistic note.

I will not watch depressing movies anymore. If it’s up for best picture, I probably won’t ever see it.

I think we're going to run through the Planet of the Apes series. I remember really enjoying the first one after have very low expectations, so maybe I only enjoyed it due to the low expectations.

Was finding a bedtime movie to watch with my 2 yr old tonight and started Marmaduke (2010) and the dad is wearing a Kansas State shirt in the opening scene. What a thing!

Rewatched No Country For Old Men last night for the first time since theaters. It was Mrs. Stevesie's first time, and also our daughter's first time. Those intense moments don't hit as hard when you have to pause during things like, just for example, Brolin finding the tracker and then hearing someone coming down the hall. Or the conversation between Javier and Woody. And still, every scene is just so. rough ridin'. intense.

Introducing her to There Will Be Blood soon, can't wait to see how she compares them.

I love There Will Be Blood. But it's such a slow burn that it's best enjoyed alone, IMO.

I agree. I may rewatch it when she's out of the house, of course. But I assure you my wife won't watch it on her own.

Hit Man with Glen Powell. Much more boring than I thought it would be. Kind of funny at times. But nothing ever really happens.

I know I am not bringing any special insights here, but what a film!

I think it may be the best work in the illustrious careers of PTA and DDL. To coincide in one shining moment on a project together, about the American western frontier, oil, blood, and money? One of the best films I've ever seen.

It may be PTA's magnum opus, but I have a hard time determining DDL's best film. I struggle to place it above Bill the Butcher. As I'm sure I've mentioned, I regard him as the GOAT film actor.

I've only seen the Kevin James version. Should I watch the original?

I’m halfway through & I’m having trouble getting the motivation to finish it.

I want to finish it just to see Glen Powell & Austin Amelio together again since Everybody Wants Some!!!

I watched Hit Man a couple of nights ago and yeah it was meh.  Although I did enjoy his impression of Patrick Bateman!

My daughter went and saw it yesterday and she said she liked it better than the first. Her taste in movies is questionable at best though.
