So is UCF now a quad 1 win for us?

No. Not even close. They aren't even top 75 in the NET, we barely are.

Is this UCF team better or worse than the 2012-13 TCU team a really good KU lost at several years ago?

Kind of similar situations situations, as that was also TCU’s first year in the Big 12, I believe. That TCU team would finish Big 12 play at 2-16. KU shared the conference with us at 14-4 in oscar’s first season.

That was an odd stretch of three-straight losses for KU, which they subsequently ended by blowing us out at the piss barn.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Wasn't that the year they had to play in a hs gym while theirs was being renovated?

I seem to recall playing them while they were renovating, and the floor (not the court) was dirt.

Also, seriously, when has there been a week when #1, #2, and #3 have lost

This is the first time in AP Poll history that four top-5 teams have lost to unranked opponents in a 2-day span.

That TCU team was waaayyyy worse.  215 kenpom ranking.  UCF is currently 79.

The only thing better than Johnny Furphy is the fact that his dad is named Dick Furphy.

I think this might be the first year in a long time  I couldn't name the starting 5 for KU to save my life

Ngl it's been that way for a bit for me, like 2020 was the last time I even knew most of their players and yes that is including their natty

Dickenson
Dotson?
McClure (sp?)
dark-skinned black dude big that I don't remember the name of, but who seems pretty good

I couldn't identify this Furphy kid out of a lineup.

Granted, I've watched roughly 3 minutes of their games altogether, that being the last few minutes of the WVU loss.

To be fair, I couldn't tell you much about KSU basketball the last couple of years under oscar.

I can picture KU losing 8 conference games this season.  Will any other teams pictures look better?

"Has Bill Self finally found a team that he cannot reach?"
"After losing All-Americans X, Y and Z from last years team, will KU be able to stay atop the Big XX??"

We continue to be each other’s half-full/half-empty litmus test. If we beat them then we had a good year.  If they lose to us they had a disappointing year.

Buddy, they've already lost to the two worst teams in the conference
