Does KU still hang banners for Helms titles? I guess the 1922 and 1923 banners are for Helms titles?

Maybe I'm partial here but the NIT is a real thing that actually happens on the court and at one time the NIT champion was considered the national champion.

Here’s the skinny…bramlage colosseum was designed by very good structural engineers. Our rafters can support SEVERAL banners. AFH on the other hand…crumbling. They have a very necessary economy with banners they hang from the rafters.

It's the same tournament and I'm pretty sure that they're up there because we started hanging banners back when the NIT was more heralded.

Your point has some merit but we don't hang those but NIT banners because we don't have NCAA tournament success. KU not only hangs Helms banners but they claim them as legitimate championships, weirdly and unnecessarily desperate.
