We can quibble about many things, but presently they are in last place in the Big 12.

I put it in the other thread but I thought I'd memorialize it here too. Since the start of last season, KU is 10-10 in their last 20 Big 12 games, including their 20 point loss to Cincinnati in Kansas City last March.

:sdeek:

Also, not saying they don't eventually figure it out in time for March but this team seems destined for another first weekend exit.

I'm sure they can find a couple more duffle bags full of cash in the cushions to right this ship.

Unfortunately every other team in America can now find duffle bags full of cash in their cushions so I guess they have to sell their recruits on being able to see the original rules of bball (written in Massachusetts by the only KU coach with a losing record) on their way to practice in an old armory with trough urinals.

I mean that's what this team is supposed to be.

Probably because the Big 12 is way down this year, but they aren't close to the top 5 team they were anointed to be during the preseason. Iowa State is significantly better than KU, and it seems that WVU is too. They beat KU, in the piss barn while missing two starters.

It's time to admit, ISU has taken their place.  Do I like it?  No.  Is it real?  Yes.

When I see it in writing I realize I don't like it either

Let's not get carried away, ISU hasn't won a conference title in a quarter century.

Very disappointed in Brian Hanni and Greg Gurley and their incessant  :bawl: :bawl: about the refs at the end of the WVU.

I really thought we had moved beyond that when Bob Davies exited the building. Instead, it feels like it ramped up significantly.  :frown:

I guess what I’m wondering is…is there any reason we should put our title on the line today? We’re top of the heap, king of the hill, a-number one. As such I feel like we should have the right to decide whether or not we want to have a title match. I see that we are scheduled to play TCU today at 3:00 (CST) but like, why? Skip it, I say

i have always said that to be the best, you have to beat the best.

since we’re the best in the big twelve and undefeated, i have no problem defending our crown today and giving the hornets frogs? a feeling of pride that they shared the same floor as us (big twelve champions - undefeated).

what do you think about this viewpoint?

It's not wrong PER SE.  As the first place/undefeated Big 12 leaders I feel like other teams circle this game and it's their super bowl.  If the hornets would give it the same effort as say last place KU I wouldn't have any problem.

They’re basically the same team as last season aren’t they?

KU seems to start Big 12 play 3-3 or some such crap and still win it most years.  I'd hold off on on the eulogies.

They were 10-8 in conference last year. I'll bet you anything you want that they won't finish in the top 3. Mayo might be their best player right now.

First time I've watched KU bball this year.  They are not that good and I will be surprised if they do anything in the tourney. We should keep it to a 22 point or lower loss on Saturday.
Fifteen minutes later, when the Kansas locker room opened its doors to the media, the Jayhawks were still crying. Literally, bawling. All of them. I've never seen anything like it, and I've seen devastated college locker rooms -- after losses in the Final Four, the national championship game -- ever

it’s all crazy because at season’s outset, I thought they had as much talent as anyone in the league.

bill self is struggling with roster management just like jerome tang (and every other coach).

MIR has a whole thread about Bill Self being washed, which is 100% accurate.

i wonder if MIR was playing 4d chess with us when he said earlier in the year that our team was built to play against teams like ku.

at the time ku was ranked #1 and we were as bad as we are now but maybe he knew? maybe he rough ridin' knew!
