Things have been a little tense between Karl and Karla lately. Things really started to get heated when Karl was doing their taxes and the refund was several hundred dollars less than Karl was expecting. It appears as though Karla did not take his advice and adjust her withholdings from her paycheck.
Anyway, when pig Aggie successfully inbounded the ball to end the game, Karl has one eye on the big screen (42”) and the other eye on Karla, and let’s just say she apparently did not express the requisite level of disappointment.

On the bright side, Karl is not going to have to explain to Karla that going to Vegas just wasn’t in budget, especially considering the aforementioned tax return debacle.

Dinner tonight was…quiet

Oof the Cold War is heating up. Karl just posted on Facebook marketplace seeking an arky basketball Jersey since Karla is apparently a rabid arky super fan and he just wants to be supportive. ($15 max)
Karla just finished her 3rd white zin and is pouring number 4 right up to the rim, and she kinda has that vibe like she’s about to let Karl know what’s on her mind

It's the kids, Karl Jr. and Kendra, who always suffer most when the Jayhawks get booted early in the tournament. They'll be walking on eggshells for weeks in a van attempt not to trigger Karl's wrath. Best to stay in their rooms playing video games with headphones on and remember to leave the red clothes in the closet. Karl Jr would like to follow the rest of the tournament because he secretly likes UCLA but he knows the Dance is now dead to the parentals. Newspapers will lie unread on the lawn until May and all TVs switched off before the 10 p.m. news.
