So anyone ever run into any "Promoters" While in vegas?

Was there 3 years ago for a bachelor party and the groom decides he wants to go to the strip clubs. We are hanging out by the casino bar(MGM) waiting for everyone to assemble and we start talking to a drunk athletic looking 40 year old guy at the bar, he says he's a club promoter ex college player gets paid to drink and send people to strip clubs blah blah belh. He'll send us to the best club and even call us a limo to pick us up.

Sounds great and we say go for it!

About 20 minutes go by and still no limo, claims he's having a 2 town cars get us now, when he goes outside to see if the car is there he keeps a low profile and peeks around.....starting to feel kinda shady....Eventually he says they are almost here and we head out to the front.

As soon as the "Promoter" guy steps to the curb a TINY mexican valet recognizes and starts going off on him. "What are you doing here! Get out of here! We told you never to come back!" Promoter guy kinda get in his face and gives the valet a shove that sends the valet back about 5 feet.

Mr. Promoter looks up and see's 3 huge security guys heading for him and takes off on a full sprint down the drive and onto the sidewalk, once he gets off their property and on the sidewalk he starts yelling back and eventually some cops show up.

My Bro's and I are just chilling there the whole time like WTF is going on until the security guys come back and tell us that guy is banned from MGM for promoting rival clubs on their property, they put us in a expedition heading for the strip clubs.

TLDNR- Each hotel has a preferred strip club they will refer you to, if promoters from other strip clubs that are not preferred crap will go down.

Just hit up the baseball card flicking illegals on the corners. Theyre less shady than some douche promoter.

Use jackcolton.com to get # of hosts for clubs.  Text them and ask what they can do for you for your group (# fillies, total group #) and play the field.  Works pretty well.

I think the peeler joints will send their own limos for you but no experience there.

New game: Help select Trim's vegasPAK hotel!

Arriving 8/30, departing 9/1.  Plans are to poolPAK, blackjackPAK and eatoutPAK.  Hoping to watch the Friday night 5:30 pm their time CATS game with EMAWgeddon and company, Rake and The Ed at a book (or at Rake's regular home) where we can pak and somewhat see and hear the game until we're up by 40 and #life gets taken out.  May need to take our victory party to Hyde that night.  Beyond that, just drinking, pool, light gambling and going to good places for food and partying post-sd-bedtime.

EMAWgeddon may already be committed to Paris with her crew, but I'm completely flexible.  See some cheaper Harrah's branded rooms with a discount code I have, but nothing that would make that the option over someplace elite.  I have all the standard hotel program memberships/points.

Go!

Go!

These are basically worthless in Vegas.  I would say on the Strip the best pool is the Mandalay.  I'd stay at THEhotel, but on the outside chance you can use four seasons points (are these a thing?) do that.

if you have Hyatt status try staying at the aria or bellagio and see if they treat you like a big time stud gambler.

These are basically worthless in Vegas.

I think they can be used, but it would generally be dumb to when compared to normal cities.  But if I can get credit or something for a program because they have an affiliated hotel there,

Kind of far from the rest of the strip?  But with my plans, probably not an issue.  If I'll be in the pool/casino most of the time, good reason to get a THEhotel room over the regular Mandalay?

I think that will get you M Life Gold which actually comes with some good benefits. nothing great but room upgrade if available and better check in line and supposedly some other stuff

The monorail (not called monorail on the opposite side of the street that links the casino families) thing is free, easy to use and can get you down to the heart of the strip with a little walking.

The good reason to stay at THEhotel is that it is significantly nicer than the Mandalay rooms.

If you rule that out, I think the Venetian/Palazzo are good options as well.  Aria if you are going crazy or can find a decent deal.

I'd rather stay at the crappy Caesars or Paris than stay at either end of the strip. drunken walkability is a key factor in my booking a place.

sd, just make the call for me.

I've got 41K Marriott points, silver status.

221K PC points, platinum status.

189K HHonors points, gold status.

27K Hyatt points, platinum status

42K spg, no status.

Over 33K UR points available.

Def fine with paying whatever, but fine with using points too if it's an ok deal.  Using hyatt wouldn't be bad because I don't use the seattle hotel anymore that I normally used them at.  I don't go to Hawaii or Europe to get max value, and I should have another free night coming my way soon anyway.

You know what I like.

Yeah, I might not care about the walking as much on this trip.  Although it's always fun to do at least one tour up and down and :combofan: in front of landmarks/freaks.

I recognize that THEhotel rooms are much nicer than the regular mandalay, but I don't think that's where I'd invest any significant money if there's a large price difference, given my plans.

I'd either use Marriott to get a night free at the Cosmo and then pay for whichever remaining night was cheaper or use the PC points at Venetian. That's a shitload of PC points. what kind or room rates are you looking at that time of year?

Haven't really looked at rates in detail, other than seeing that Saturday night is disproportionately higher (labor day weekend).  Actually just switched from the prior weekend when it would've been cheaper to pak w/EMAWgeddon and to watch EMAW w/rake, and have the Monday recovery day.  Worth the higher rates.  Don't care if I'm getting the best value points-wise as opposed to best for this trip - pools, most convenient to pak, viakoffman-level blackjack.

Well, rake loves the parking area by Crystals so I'd go Aria or Cosmo.
