Call @KellyInVegas.

Ask for the "fitz at the ritz"
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

im no expert on high roller gambling, but to gamble large at the aria you have to be absurdly rich and you likely do not post on goEMAW.com

The Aria is no more expensive than any of the other nicer casinos.  comps in vegas are pretty much going away for everyone but rich people who throw cash around and 365 days a year slot jockeys.  I play around $20 a hand blackjack and pai gow for hours on end and I don't think I've ever gambled long enough to get comped anything of value.  It's more of a marathon now for people who don't bet $1k hands of anything.  with the new programs that track your "comps" you can check your balance every day and see what you can get for them.  awardwallet even tracks most of the programs.  I've been given drink tickets for placing larger sports bets from time to time but I see that as a measure to keep losers who aren't gambling from drinking for free all day in the sportsbook.

yeah the aria has 4000 rooms. they aren't going to find 4000 high rollers. I'm pretty sure there was a $5 craps table there last time I was there.

i once played bacarat for 18 hours straight, average bet per the pit boss was $25/hand, averaged 60 hands per hour.  over the 18 hour stretch we traded over $25k.  they comped me two meals, elite.

I bet that table was as fun as any bacarat table ever.  Which casino?

monte carlo, it was a fun table.  the guy next to me, he'd only bet every once in a while, and when he did bet it was like $5k, or $15k, etc.  he'd just ask for a marker and they'd print one out, then he'd tell me to bet with him.

If you are with a bf/gf/spouse go to Zumanity.  Don't go with bros or family.

saw absinthe (in the little tent outside caesars) last year, it was pretty awesome.

so we are going Oct 19-22 this year.  current R/T prices from MCI on Southwest are $330.  any travel/vegas experts in here?  think it'll go any cheaper than that in the next 4-6 weeks?

:runaway: Will be in Vegas that same weekend.

I booked back in June when SW had a sale. We got 2 RT tickets for like 450 total.

I doubt it will get any cheaper, normally its around $300 RT on southwest, if anything it will be more expensive the closer it gets.

that's about what you are going to pay.  you will sometimes get a late fare sale but by now you probably need to just book.  with sw you can cancel and rebook at the cheaper price if it goes down.

yeah I think we paid around $325 last time.  I just didn't want to be a dumbass and buy now and then see them go down.  I know the traditional thinking is 6 weeks or so prior to travel date, but vegas seems to follow it's own rules.

Need some recomendations of things to do besides binge drink and gamble now that I have the GF with me.

Leaving wed oct 18th and coming back at night on sat oct 20th.

Will probably go to a show on thursday night(been to vegas 5 times but have never been to a show), any recomendations on what shows to see and where to get cheap tickets?

I enjoyed absinthe as well. Much better than I thought it would be.
