If you had to pick between staying at the Bellagio, Aria, or Vdara, which one would you stay at and why?

i was in the bellagio and aria this past weekend, and either one would be good.  i watched the ksu cats win and alabama not cover from the aria sportsbook and that was awesome.  the aria was very nice, so i would go that one, although they are pretty much right next to each other so bellagio fountains are a wash.

also looking at google street view the aria is still being built, so thats probably why aria was better because its brand rough ridin' new.

It's a bed....Aria is nice but seriously, you aren't going to Vegas to hang out in your room....Bellagio has better access to the rest of the strip and better sportsbook and restaurants in their own casino.  Aria has remote shades and a smart TV.

Aria.

Then probably a tie between the other two. bellagio is easier to get in and out of from the strip but is pretty much full of 70 year old people. vdara is quieter and is non-smoking but is kind of removed from everything. all the rooms are pretty good sized though.

Probably first week or two of January.

With the wife.

Drink, gamble, walk around the strip, maybe a show or two

I don't think vdara has gambling, if you were wanting to be sure you could be in bed 5 minutes after you get up from a table.  Bellagio will be more vegas-y, both itself and what's closest.  Aria probably best combo of all the stuff you'd care about.

Make sure you're maxing out hyatt/mlife prospects.  I assume you are since all 3 you listed were mlife spots.

Yeah..it goes along with the convo we had on the way to the airport last week.  Probably a bad use of Hyatt nights, but the quick getaway deal works for us.

crap, forgot about that.  Don't use your Hyatt nights for that unless you have no other options.  Use your Hyatt status that you got with just having the card and register with MLife and have them match you to their upgraded status.  Then check out the price options with your new status for the places you're considering and see if it's better to pay (using your hyatt card, I think) and using the Hyatt nights for a quick jaunt to chicago or someplace with an expensive hyatt.

I think all the work I did on that stuff is in this very thread.  It'd be easy to find by the date - it was for a trip I took there for the weekend H3O lost to a D-2 school, so in the weeks ahead of whenever that game was.

Just registered with MLife and sent them an email about the matched status with Hyatt.  Link on Hyatt's website wasn't working to sync up the accounts.   :curse:

I remember it was kind of janky when I did it.  Keep trying to do it through the Hyatt site, making sure you're logged in and it's showing you as platinum first.

Going to Vegas for bball conference championship weekend for my cousins Bach party. 11 dudes going, we went with two 4 room suites at the Wyndham Grand Desert.

Need some pro tips from the Vegas experts. What are the best sports books etc to go to?

First weekend of MM a lot of places do parties...not sure if they do them for conference championship weekend.  If so, the Cosmo party is great.

Westgate book is awesome but it's a cab ride from the strip.  On-Strip Lagasse's is the best but it's more like a sports bar with table minimums, etc. Ballys book is old but good stadium style layout.
