Also, if someone asked me to pen a FSD post about vegas I would have said:

The best part about vegas is that, at any given bar in any given building within a half-mile of the strip, there are not less than 3 women who will suck your dick through a condom for cash.

Sports books are about 1/100th as cool as they sound, particularly when compared to the breadth and immediately availability of alternative adult entertainment in vegas.

Biggest rip off in Vegas - gambling. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!
Second biggest rip off - Buffets. Even a supposedly "good" buffet (bellagio), still a buffet.
Best meal - dim sum cart, Noodles@Bellagio.
Second best meal - charcuterie@ Public House ( venetian )
Best Entertainment - Britney Spears @ Planet Hollywood, duh.

Didn't Britney Spears get really fat? Was Paris just an offset for BS's bulk?
No, she's average sized. IMO.

Paris was there just to enjoy life.

watching like 4 basketball games end in a span of 20 minutes at a sports book is pretty much the coolest thing ever. plus everyone is just getting super drunk.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

a couple years ago out there we had gone pretty hard for a couple days, like averaging a couple hours sleep a night, then the third night came around and we all just fell asleep at 11.  to be honest it felt amazing.

I could probably enjoy a sports book for a big sporting event but other than that they bore me

yeah I need to go during the tourney sometime.

I'm glad you enjoyed it.  The best sports book is that one at the Tropicana called Saul's or whatever where they put lines on a chalk boards and they just have two old ass TV's and everyone still refers to newspapers to place bets.  It basically what you would expect at a VA in Carl Junction, Missouri, with all the same great people watching and life experiences.

Sportsbook Saturday

7:30am - awake with help from opened windows and sun peering over the desert
7:45am - closest coffee
7:55am - cab to Westgate/LVH/Hilton
8:10am - seats obtained, stare down board for 11am central games.
8:25am - still search for old waitress, finally order two bloody marys...overtip so she will come back quickly
8:30am - realize overtipped waitress shift is over
8:45am - obtain new waitress, 2nd Bloody...realize they suck still, get Miller Lites
9:00am - k-state kicks vs. ISU/ku/tt
9:01am - bathroom break
9:30am - curse Bill's choice of QB, get annoyed with Wisconsin fans behind me
10:30am - halftime, try to calculate how to middle my early bets with 2H bet....most likely eff it up.  Order delish breakfast sandwich
12pm - Collect winnings, go big on +ML 2:30pm game
1:30pm - bathroom break #2...finally decide to step outside, realize it's beautiful out....hurry back inside
1:35pm - waitress #2 figures out the Miller Lite ordering routine
1:45pm - Decide I'm good at horses.....bet based on name alone, take down quinella
2:15pm - Randomly yell for/against teams.....disgusted at some of my early bets that are actually going to win
3:00pm - Pac-12 games coming up I have no idea who to bet....bet against some  USC/UCLA/UA fan in front of me
3:10pm - Waitress #2 not quick enough, remember some gift shop with okay beer selection, go grab a 6 pack to supplement waitress delivery
3:30pm - cash tickets....disappointed with how many dumb games I've bet.
3:45pm - Maybe I should eat something
4:45pm - Maybe I should eat something
5:00pm - Eff the Pac12 games....let's go
6:00pm - Final tickets cashed

So somehow Caesar Entertainment think's I am a big roller and is offering me all sorts of free crap despite never betting more than $25 (Maybe $50 in blackout stages) a hand at blackjack.

I was the best man at a bachelor party in Vegas about a year ago and booked rooms for everyone, as soon as I got back they started sending me Free Flight/Room Coupons for flights that go from KC -> Laughlin (With a stop over in GARDEN CITY to pick up more people). Never took them up on the offer but then a month ago some Caesar guy called me and basically said he was my "Member Relations guy", whatever, send me your contact info and I'll let you know if I need you.

I'm going to another bachelor party in vegas over labor day weekend so I emailed the guy. Boom, free room at Planet Hollywood/free show coups/free meal tickets/gambling matchplay etc.

don't watch it at a book. place your bets and go to the roof of Diablos and watch it. cheap pitchers and it's open air so you don't smell like an ashtray. also acceptable quality "nachos".

They have this pretty cool thing over at the Venetian (french for Venice) where you can hop on a gondola and make out with babes while you cruise around a climate controlled canal in a mall.

PBR is also a good option for this very reason. Super close to pH book, outside seats with good people watching....food is meh and beer selection isn't the greatest are the downsides. an EMAW was  working the bar last time I was there.
