yes, have stayed at vdara. liked it a lot. it's quiet because there's no casino. a lot of the rooms are owned residences or something. I think initially they were all going to be but they couldn't sell them. also it's smoke free which I liked a lot.

the cosmo one was called "hoops and hops" when I went. It was pretty great. was like $60 or so for the day and free drinks all day. best part was the betting window in the room away from the sports book so you didn't have to deal with lines. though they are a cantor book or whatever so you wouldn't have to deal with lines anyway I guess.

Same deal last year. I paid a little more to sit in the balcony which is worth it IMO. Now they have the mobile gambling app so don't have to worry about the lines at the window which is sweet... And way to easy to bet dumb bets.

A few bros and I are going to Vegas during the weekend of the Final Four. I've been to Vegas once before but only for a short time so I am far from knowledgable about the best places to go.

-We are staying at the Rio. (I realize this is a bit off the strip but we got the room for free so I can't complain about that)
- I we will want to find a sportsbook to watch and bet at during the semifinals and such. What recommendos would you have for a good book?
- What are the best spots for table games that have a relatively low minimum? I assume most casinos have about a $20 minimum on blackjack.

I don't know, Tobias. Pretending to gamble the required amount to get free drinks at the bar? I'll admit, the pervy stuff was ok too.

go to a nice casino to watch the games. the mirage and MGM my favorites, but there are plenty of nice sports books around and i havent been to them all. the rio will have $5 tables for table games, so will some of the older casinos like flamingo and harrahs. a nicer one will likely go up to $10-20.
I think what my friend Mitch is trying to say is that true love is blind.

Biggest rip off in Vegas - gambling. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME!
Second biggest rip off - Buffets. Even a supposedly "good" buffet (bellagio), still a buffet.
Best meal - dim sum cart, Noodles@Bellagio.
Second best meal - charcuterie@ Public House ( venetian )
Best Entertainment - Britney Spears @ Planet Hollywood, duh. Paris Hilton was there!
worst/smelliest place - riviera
worst place that wasn't smelly - caesars palace
most overrated place - wynn, gmafb

The best part about vegas is that, at any given bar in any given building within a half-mile of the strip, there are not less than 3 women who will suck your dick through a condom for cash.

Sports books are about 1/100th as cool as they sound, particularly when compared to the breadth and immediately availability of alternative adult entertainment in vegas.

Didn't Britney Spears get really fat? Was Paris just an offset for BS's bulk?
