Are there any predators that prey on geese?
My son and his hunting buddies.

Nice, who's cleaning all those birds.  Also, are some of these going to be on the Christmas table?
Hot time in Kat town tonight.

Which is your favorite type of goose:  Canada Goose or Snow Goose?  Mine is the Canada Goose.  These are the only two type of geese I know so if you have a different favorite type of goose please share.

I'm not aware of other types of geese besides Canada and Snow but I'll take a gander.

There is a special Hawaii goose that is not one of these. It is grey. It sucks and is not my favorite. My favorite is the snow goose.

As gostlings geese will bond with the first suitable moving stimulus, no matter if this is a goose, person or even an object. They remain dedicated to that person or object as their surrogate “parent” throughout their lives.

Imagine waving a picture of Ryan Gossling (sp?) In front of a gostling and establishing a lifelong bond. Wowza.

_33's adorable goose fact of the day:  Geese mate for life, raise their goslings together, and will even go as far as to mourn the death of a mate in solitude for several days.

This is about as true as Mother Goose! Contrary to popular belief, farmyard geese are not monogamous and a male usually has a harem of three or four. They are, however, extremely dedicated partners and will mourn the loss of a mate.

I'm not talking about domestic geese.  If you'd like to share goose facts specifically related to domestic geese I suggest starting your own thread.

Sprance, you sound like a goose/geese rancher.  Or did you have a pet goose when you were little?

Neither. I had a hunch, based on geese's known reputation as frisky fowl, but I didn't bother to fact check until after I posted. Turns out I goosed right!
