It'll be interesting to see if KSU tries to shut down local entrepreneurs making bootleg WTD stuff under the premise that it's KSU's thing.

I'd be willing to bet Nike has already called. They clearly have an interest in making sure we aren't shitting on Oregon's plate.

Kietzman was talking about how much K-State will be using WTDD. It's amazing how stupid he is.
He really is a DF, but he made a good point on Gene going all out on this hire and risking his future for it. Shut down Petro’s dumb crap about Sean.
Gene’s future is staying at K-State if this works, or “retiring” in 3-4 years if it doesn’t. He didn’t risk crap.

He risked the next 4 years being incredibly painful for him if we suck crap at football.  Imagine how fast the fan base and major donors wil turn on him if we go 4-8 next year and fail to make a bowl again in year 2.

I really don't understand this take, do you think his age means he doesn't care if this hire is successful? That the money he would miss if he "retires" is irrelevant?

Not at all. Clearly he cares, but his future isn’t becoming the AD at USC or commissioner of the Big XII.  He’s risking his perceived success at KSU, and some additional $ in his golden years, but he isn’t risking some major career ambition. This is his last stop.

Ron Prince didn't make it a full 3 years, and he never did worse than 5-7. Just saying...

Ron Prince had horrible assistant retention and some "Ron Prince Stories" rumored. Also black, which I think played an unfortunate role in many fan's willingness to give him any benefit of the doubt.

I think it's lame and a rip off

He wasn't ripping anything off, he didn't ask 33 to make a shirt. He was using cliches when talking to his football team. You can't want more access then be bitter when that allows you to hear a football coach sound like a football coach.

Literally the only K-State forum where one can make this very obvious point without a white guy mass meltdown.

When I was a student, I only wanted Prince gone because he couldn’t beat KU. :dunno:

Also, you hope to see some kind of year to year improvement. If anything we seemed to be trending down.

Add on the fact that a hot prospect like Patterson was available and gettable at the time and I still think it was the right move.

It will be interesting. "Win the Day" is already copyrighted by Oregon.

I don't really care about access as long as we're winning.  If we suck then yes, blast us with this crap 24/7 so we have something to make fun of/talk about.

When LHC Bill Snyder's teams sucked it was the absolute worst because all we ever saw was the crap product on the field.

And people are acting like "Win the dang day" is like his schtick, maybe it isn't but if it is, it's lame and a rip off.
