that's your city's rules and it's like that across the plaza. extended width sidewalks have to yield the regular sidewalk width (3ft?) to pedestrians. kona, zocallo, and parkway all come to mind. i'd prefer that the restaurants get no sidewalk space, talk to slyin and make it happen.

Agreed... The rules need to be changed. I don't mind some sidewalk seating but that is ridiculous

it gets worse when the restaurant puts up huge umbrellas which extend across the entire sidewalk width like kona does

Also I was going to just drink water but the water tab on the soda machine dispensed soda water so I pulled a ben ji (other ben-x poster???) and went with sprite in a water cup

nothing better than waking up sunday morning slung over but knowing you have a shake shack roughly 30 feet from your rough ridin' face waiting on you
i walked over and in and to the pick up counter. my breath was still heavy with the scent of Berry Truly's from the night before. the garcon handed me my food as i whispered LET'S ROLL WILDCATS TO PURPLE into his ear. he went to get his manager so i slipped out the exit untouched, and into nirvana.

Yeah I know... I'd say the same for Miller lite. Get all filled up with liquid before get to the point of being hung the next day.
