If this was a video game roster, I'd probably run like a 4-2-5 w/ Daquan and Sullivan as the LB's, and use Walker as my controlled LB/S hybrid and just blitz him every time.

the special teams do-si-do by sean snyder, coach

Around your long snapper do-si-do
Around your short snapper here we go
Around your long snapper and you’ll see
How much fun snapping footballs can be.

Now bow to your long snapper
And say hello “HELLO”

Bow to your short snapper
And say hello “HELLO”

Around your short snapper do-si-do
Around your long snapper here we go
Around your short snapper and you’ll see
How much fun snapping footballs can be.

Clap hands with your snapper
Clap, clap, clap (clap, clap, clap)

Clap hands with your snapper
Clap, clap, clap

Around your place kicker do-si-do
Around your holder here we go
Around your place kicker and you’ll see
How much fun place kicking can be.

Lock arms with your place kicker
Now swing ’em round!

I said swing your place kicker
Around and round YEEHAW! Round and round

Around your holder do-si-do
Around your holder here we go
Around your holder and you’ll see
How much fun holding balls can be.

Put your back to your punter
And stand real still
Put your back to your punter
And stand still, still.

Around your punter do-si-do
Around your punter here we go
Around your punter and you’ll see
How much fun punting balls can be.

Now bow to your kick returner
And say “Thank you”, “Thank you”

Bow to your punt returner
And say “Thank you” “Thank you”

Around your kick retunner do-si-do
Around your punt retuner here we go
Around your kick returner and you’ll see

How much fun special teams can be!

How much fun special teams can be!

How much fun special teams can be!

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

admittedly i do not know crap about Jordan Mittie but it cannot be a good sign that he showed up and is immediately on the two deep

Is it normal for a college football team to carry 6 kickers?

From his bio:
Quote
AT TEXAS STATE: Played two seasons at defensive tackle for the Bobcats under head coach Everett Withers... Totaled 83 tackles, including 8.0 tackles for loss and 4.0 sacks over his two seasons in San Marcos... Also tallied four breakups and a forced fumble over those two seasons... Earned Honorable Mention All-Sun Belt honors as a sophomore in 2017 when he finished sixth on the team with 52 tackles... Also ranked fourth on the squad with 5.5 TFLs and 3.5 sacks as a sophomore...Redshirted the 2015 season.

Not sure if that is good?

How much do you think the new redshirt rules will come into play this season? I would think if someone has a lingering injury here or there we might have a game we can slip a true freshman into. Or if we are absolutely destroying a team we can rest our battering rams (QBs, RBs, etc)

For those not caught up, the new rule says you can play in four games and still get a redshirt. (At least that is my understanding)

From an article on SB Nation:

Quote
Division I football players are now allowed to play in up to four games in a season while keeping a redshirt and not losing a year of eligibility. The NCAA previously considered a redshirt burned if a player took the field for a single play of live action in any game.

They've been raving about Holcomb in practice, as saying he'll be the next Klein.

Not letting the fourth string QB pass the ball on the road in the closing minutes of a game we were winning by 5 points, is not a sound argument that the same player can't be the third string quarterback a year later.

I bet Holcomb gets some snaps anyway, he's just not starting the season as the third string QB.
