I used the think I was a John Stuart Mill libertarian, and still do. But the Libertarian Party is something quite different. It's basically Republicans who don't want to identify as Republicans but want to avoid any consequences for their actions.

Libertarians are mostly Republicans who think the current preferences of the majority are close enough to their personal preferences.
