Food Poisoning: the worst, right?
« on: April 11, 2018, 09:11:12 AM »
I mean, I can't sleep, I can't drink, I can't eat. I'd take a quick and painless death right now if it meant not feeling this way anymore.

I don't think so, but then again, I can't figure out where I got food poisoning either, so maybe.

Got food poisoning my 1st semester at KSU. Started studying for my Intro to Archaeology test at 11pm (test was at 8:30 next morning). Felt my gut rumble the destroyed a 6th floor Moore Hall toilet for 4 hours; I had no effing clue so much liquid could come out of a person.  My dick-head stoner roommate wouldn't take me to ER so I had to drive myself. Spent 4 hours getting IV fluids in ER then drove myself to my test. Got a B!

I have never felt that bad before and since.

That might be the worst part about food poisoning, you can't keep any water down, so pretty much the only way to not risk death is going to the ER and getting pumped full of fluids. Thank goodness for the wife's insurance.

I guess it's probably the worst thing about food poisoning after the food poisoning is over. I'm pretty sure I would have given the hospital my firstborn to make me stop feeling the way I felt at the time.

I got it once from Mcalister's before a cat's basketball game.  A bit after I got home it hit.  Nothing in the world like being trapped in a bathroom for hours.

I think I've had it one time in my life. Pretty sure it was from some beef jerky I got at a gas station in Reno. I either puked or crap at every stop from Reno all the way to MHK. Was awful but it did get me out of driving.

“Sushi-grade” has no specific meaning in the US, FYI

You just need salmon that has been frozen. At least that is what the internet tells me. Fresh, never frozen salmon is likely to have parasites.

Good news is that salmon is generally required to be frozen

GOD DAMNIT  :frown:

Last week I had fruit and a glass of a brand new bottle of this juice.  I poured that bottle out, but I had bought two of them because I really liked it.  I just had a glass of the second bottle today and yep this was it.  Never buying this again which is a shame because I really liked it minus food poisoning.
