I've been banking a few extra bucks in my free time lately as a census-taker, and came across a uk grad(?) the other day who proves, without a doubt, that the Kansas Commuter College should no longer be allowed to grant degrees.

I waltz up to this particular condo to fill out a questionnaire and who opens the door but a young man in a uk shirt. Said something to the effect of jayhawks forever. I'm running through the questions and he explained that on census day, he had a roommate. I wrote his roommate's name down and then proceeded to ask if he knew which RACE his former roommate identified with. RACE. I even gave him the handout showing multiple examples. The answer?

"He's British."

Pretty funny, hadn't seen that before. Although Walken's lines reminded me more of the Fake Sugar Dick (WARNING, NOT THE REAL SUGAR DICK!) questions that were asked in training than anything I heard from residents. We spent half an hour in training one day discussing what to do if the respondent claimed not to be human, because ppl would not stop asking questions about it.

When I was in high school, one of the guys in my Biology class was bragging about his "girlfriend" that he had.  No one believed him, and I asked him if she was caucasion.  He stated, "No, I think she's Baptist."
