It truly was a hilarious exhibition of Eat the Rich.

In the case of Liz and Bernie in particular, it’s all they have.

The problem is definitely with the women, not with KSUW.

Klo has a weird voice. Warren's doesn't bother me. I also don't like the way Bernie talks.

KSUW, what did you think about Sarah Palin's voice?

But in any event, why is phoniness being implied as a negative trait?

Could you defend and agree with a phony character.
Yes. I don't care. It's all theater. My decision has nothing to do with perceived phoniness. They're all phony. I just think he's the guy.

Why???
Because (a) I dont think the President does very much, except (b) is occasionally called upon to make important decisions at 3 A.M., and (c) I think he's the brightest of the bunch.
That's a pretty dim view of what the President does.
Change my mind

Do you also think the cabinet and appointees don't do anything?
Not at all! That's another reason I'm Pro Pete. I believe he will surround himself with smart, accountable peteple.

Yeah but why can't the smart, accountable people run for office?  I'm guessing they don't want to, but it sucks that you have to hope the turd on a stick you voted for will surround himself with way better people.

EDIT:  OR HERSELF …  calm down MIR

This is the second time you've posted this take that there haven't been good presidential candidates. I'm not sure what constitutes good in your eyes but between the 2016 and 2020 elections there have been 52 presidential candidates. If you can't find someone you feel closely aligns your values in a field of 52 people, the issue may be what you identify what you value and not the people actually running for president.

I didn't watch, did Bernie and Liz go ar each other? Or mainly just Bloomberg and Pete?

Liz couldn't wait to drag Bloomberg's ass, just as I predicted. She was literally raising her hand 3 seconds into the first question, which was asked to Bernie about Bloomberg. She started with a Trump comparison and never let up. The only thing she attacked anyone else on were their unwillingness to endorse a MFA plan. She actually had a very effective critique of Biden, Klo, and Pete's plans but no one actually cares about that stuff. Sad.

Very little between Bernie and Liz. He really has no reason to go after her, and Liz was just trying to become relevant again. Bloomberg was a perfect target for that.

She's third in the current delegate count.

Which means very little at this point. The important part is she wasn’t making many headlines. Even Klo got more press because of the strong NH showing.

This. If there hasn't been a good, qualified candidate yet then please offer some examples of who would be in your eyes. What past presidents were good/qualified candidates before running? Former governors? Senators? Generals?

I watched most of the debate last night although, full disclosure, I put some of Liz on mute because - like Hillary, there's just something in that screechy voice that triggers me. But I love the way she raises her hand at every question!

A few quick takes....

I thought the moderators were ok and actually asked some decent questions.

If you want to see how a political party utterly consumed with the victim identity politics of race, gender, sexuality and income devours itself, look no further than the dumpster fire that was last night's debate. They might as well have set up a guillotine on stage. As a conservative, it's amazingly entertaining (with appropriate use of mute button for Liz).

This is the first time I really watched/listened to Bernie Sanders for a prolonged period - not just little clips. He is a living, breathing (I assume) cartoon character. Much more so than Donald Trump (and that's hard to believe). There is absolutely no way America elects this communist muppet to be president. If the Don is still looking for a cute nickname, may I suggest The Commie Muppet. This is the contest conservatives and America should relish, The Don v. The Bern. Dems, are you realy so batshit crazy that you're going to nominate a socialist... in this economy? I think you are!

My goodness, how was Mini Mike so utterly unprepared for all those attacks?

this is a good example of how the fringes are different. On one fringe, you have K-S-U who can't stand how broads talk and wants to make up clever nicknames for Trump. On the other fringe, you have two great board dads and lovely people, Kat Kid and MiR.

the moderates on this blog want candidates that align more closely to folks like K-S-U than Kat Kid and MiR.

After only two primaries, one of those things has a bigger impact on fundraising than the other. I’ll let you guess which one.

I have heard many hill - klo voice comparisons, but this is my first time seeing hill - Liz.

I actually like listening to klo, neutral on Liz, and thumbs down on hill. It's not a very important characteristic to me though.

Opposite. Klo is very cringy and annoying to me. Liz is a good, passionate speaker imo. No opinion on Hillary’s oration.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

The only thing that I remember about Hillary’s speaking is how much she used the stupid line that they used to call Obamacare “Hillarycare”.

That and she had a laugh kinda like Dracula.

The Klo car horn comparison is hilarious and now I can’t unhear it.

i haven't actually paid enough attention to bloomberg to know where he falls on policy (although i assume, pretty standard dem stuff), but if you think klobsie, buttigieg or biden is more aligned with trump than with sanders or warren, you're completely delusional.
