Darn. I was hoping the caucus format might benefit Yang

It will at the larger caucuses
Just due to the contrast?

Due to where his campaign was focused on getting votes from. Although I'm in the Des Moines area, it's a rural district, he didn't spend any time there.

What a ridiculous thing.

Good for them. They are young, passionate, and politically active. I'm willing to bet that they probably spent time working for their candidate as well.

This process was incredibly frustrating and frankly I felt like I wasted my time. There is a 100% chance our site didn't even work correctly. They somehow meshed the two alignments together, we only had one. Bear in mind the cards that you have to fill out has two sides on it, one for each alignment. I mentioned the Warren campaign helping the Sanders campaign and the Klobuchar campaign helping Steyer. They essentially negotiated this so that those candidates would be viable then the people would switch back. Well they never got a chance to switch back and it made a difference in the number of delegates won. If those deals weren't done, and I guarantee you the people doing it didn't realize what the hell they were doing, Klobuchar would have won 3 delegates, Pete would have won 2 and Warren would have won 2.

The actual results after the count saw Pete with 2, Klo with 2, Sanders, Warren, and Steyer with 1 each. We also had Bernie and Warren in a dead heat, so I have no idea where the coin toss is supposed to happen. What a total disaster.

I wonder how other states, like Kansas, run their caucuses.

We’re primary brahs now.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

Is this new? Wasn't 2016 a caucus?

Well since this is taking forever, because it's a cluster eff, again. I'm going to guess the order of delegates won.

1. Pete
2. Liz
3. Bernie
4. Klo
5. Sleepy Joe
6. Yang
7. Steyer

Nothing will really change. Pete will finally be legitimized, Warren will get a bit of momentum, Yang will become eligible for the next debate, and people will clown on how wrong the polling was, again. Everything else, status quo.

Care to share which site you were at? My understanding is that each site is basically anecdotally evident of the broader performance, and the other anecdotal evidence suggests a different result, but idk.

I was referring to the speech he just gave, he did a tongue-in-cheek Howard Dean "we're going to..." finish to his speech.

Buckle up, first bit of whining tonight is coming from the Biden campaign. They know they got their asses kicked tonight and are crying already. I'll try to find the statement.

Gotcha, I'm in Madrid, right on the NW corner of Polk County. No each site is not representative of the larger state. The candidates run very different campaigns based on the demographics in which they are located. Imagine a national campaign but on a small scale and that's what you have here. My rural district just isn't a place where Yang is spent time and money. My congressional district is one of the most conservative in the country, hello Steve King, so it was thought that Biden, Klo, and Pete would run it up here, and they pretty much did. My actual county, Boone, only had Klo and Warren paid workers here, everyone else came from Ames and DSM.

I think what we're going to find, when we finally get numbers, is that Klo beat Biden's ass and everything else is as expected.
