That level of understanding of him as a person is an interesting to get to, one of the articles linked in the tweet explains some of that thought process through Pete's book.

You must have read a different link than I did. The one I read just proclaimed that Pete was boring and naive to think Americans will ever be able get along with people with differing ideologies.

This is one of the most insincere things I've ever read on gE. It's insincere because you know it's 100% bullshit, the issues with Pete has been discussed ad naseum on here. I thought Magary also did a great job describing Pete, he's Obama 2.0. You know the guy who had the chance to make transformative change with our health care but he wasted the two years of the majority he had trying to build a bipartisan consensus that was never going to exist, now were stuck with half assed Obamacare.

I'll vote for him when he inevitably wins the nomination, so will Magary, Rusty, and Kat Kid, but it's more than fair to critique him for being a presidential social experiment who has gotten to #2 in the polls without actually taking any policy stance.

There's some good stuff here, I really like the 21st Century Voting Rights Act, a shame we need another one. The programmers, sorry democratic machine, sees it best that he remains a "moderate" and not advocate for any of these ideas publicly. Honestly, I don't know if any of these are moderate positions, he'll govern from the same place the that Obama, Clinton, and Bush x2 did, won't do crap to shake the tree and actually break up the machine, he's a creation of that machine.

That's exactly what I was about to say to Spracne. Buttigieg is the safest bet to maintain the status quo. You're comfortable and really don't give a eff about the changes needed to this country, vote for the consensus builder.
