From what I’ve seen via sys retweets, Beto is at least real. He comes across as actually caring. The others, warren especially, seem to be constantly pandering. That said Biden is the only one with a chance to beat Trump. They should start letting Biden moderate these things as auditions for who gets to be his VP.

Purely off of MIRs recap, it sounds like it was a great night for my guys Pete and Beto!

It absolutely was. I think this is ultimately going to come down to Liz vs. Pete

Probally Beto, but I'm really starting to talk myself into Pete. I can handle a coherent moderate a lot more now than I could in 2016.

QFMFT. There is literally zero tangible reason to support him over BootEdgeEdge or Harris or Klo. He is incoherent and hasn't been able to distinguish himself at all. I'm not going to get worked up though, at this point in '04, '08, and '16 got walked down by Iowa. The only leader in September that even won Iowa was Hilz and she and Bernie finished Iowa in a dead heat.

That's exactly why I don't care about the debates or polling right now. We're still 5 months away from the first votes being cast.

There's no other forum that the candidates don't control where they're forced to defend their stances and past actions. Without debates we won't hear Biden and Castro have to try to explain the immigration policies and lack of justice reforms under the Obama administration, or Liz and Bernie held to how they are going to pay for everything, or Kamala locking people up for smoking weed, or Pete and Klo's unresolved racial/criminal justice issues in the areas they represent.

I'm usually into that, but so much can happen in 5 months and I'm already exhausted on politics from trump. I just don't have the energy to devote to this yet. We'll see who's left after the first few states vote and then maybe I'll get into it.

I only watched like the first 30 minutes and really enjoyed it. Kamala is just so weird/forced. Biden is terrible. Pete vs Liz is an interesting take. Pete's definitely the best moderate (although the bernie bros and sisses are trying to paint Liz as a corporate shill).

One of the major networks really should do 60 minute sit downs with presidential candidates. Fireside chats or whatever.
If there was a gif of nicname thwarting the attempted-flag-taker and then gesturing him to suck it, followed by motioning for all of Hilton Shelter to boo him louder, it'd be better than that auburn gif.

CNN did this over the summer, it was when Pete broke out.

I won't vote for a fricking drunk driver who gets ppl hurt.  Also, won't vote for gays, old goats, pissed off women, hippies from the 60's, forking cops, and anybody who thinks he's doing PH"s "you could win $$$$, for the rest of your life.  Anyone left seems eligible.

Not that this is compelling, but wouldn't the draw be political and executive experience at the highest level? A foil if you will to our current situation.

It's a joy to listen to Pete communicate. I'm guessing high level executive experience (rolling in international diplomacy) would be thought as something with a short learning curve or as a detriment.

Trump isn't shitty because he had no previous political experience, he's shitty because he's a terrible person. I don't think Biden's experience as VP doesn't close the gap of him being a dull blunder machine. There's no way anyone can hear the two speak and think Biden has a better grasp of anything more than Pete. Hell, at the debate Pete was much more clear and convincing on selling the ACA than Biden was. Also worth noting that he was the VP for a relative political novice.
