It would be so refreshing to have the president make me feel like I'm stupid for a change.

You should have just said how well spoken he is and left it at that.

I'm a moderate republican and I'm going to donate to Pete. Because he's smart AF and can play the piano and speak like 12 languages. And if anyone thinks those aren't good reasons I'd like to hear why their candidate of choice is more deserving. and I think america will follow suit once they hear about this multi-lingual piano playing dude who isn't old AF.

I'll clarify that old AF people probably aren't getting on board. But honestly eff them. imo.

Old people have nothing better to do than take public transportation to the polls and drink coffee and vote for other old AF’s. We need to start denying olds the right to vote.

Exactly

this makes me question whether you've listened to more than five minutes of either beto or buttigieg.

I haven't decided what, if any, Democrat I'm supporting yet. I'm pretty far left on most of the candidates but I'm a little bothered by this trend of progressives wanting everything to be free instead of offering actual solutions to issues. I'm going to eventually support the candidate who can express the best and most practical solutions to the issues that are most important to me. Mayor Pete seems like he can be someone who is an innovative consensus builder but he better get going with some ideas. If we're being honest and I had to caucus today, I'm probably going with Klobushar.

i don't object to you not liking beto.  i object to people that very obviously have spent very little time watching his campaign think they can credibly dispute my characterization of the lane he's running in when i've been obsessively watching his every move for the last three weeks.

admittedly, i've spent much much less time watching buttigieg, but it's been enough to observe that their most notable difference is in how they approach race and identity stuff.

i'm certainly not the only person to have observed this.  there are plenty in the media that have said the same.

btw, you being in the far left of dem voters and leaning towards klobuchar is why primaries are so rough ridin' ridiculously hard to forecast - all or most of the candidates are broadly acceptable to most of the voters.

Most people are going to just vote for whoever they find the most likable.

Honestly, I can't imagine spending that much time right now looking into candidates like you have, especially after what happened last election. I appreciate your effort tho, SYS. It seems to have consumed you these last 2 years. I miss the basketball SYS tho.  :frown:

I love following the primary, even though it's usually all but decided by the time I actually get to vote for one of the 2 or 3 candidates left when it gets to Kansas.

After Obama & Trump, the only things I care about in a President anymore is above average intelligence and work ethic, plus actual principles and a willingness to call out both parties in Congress for being idiots when they refuse to do things that way over half the country is in favor of.

I’m anxious to see the debates but right now I think those candidates are Pete and Yang: Tier 1. Beto, Sanders, Harris: Tier 2.

My 4th grade daughters best friend had to move away last year.  She was sad so I took her out for ice cream.  Should I have ran for president?

releasing 10 years of taxes should be a condition for participating in any debates.
