abrams should not accept that offer, should it come.  she can win the nomination herself, or remain available as an option to other candidates that might win it.  tying herself to biden might help biden, but it doesn't help her.

On the other hand, Biden might die in office.

Would it create a sideshow that the billing of the ticket is upside down? Would that discourage/fragment Dems or be a point to rally around?

The whole idea of selecting a VP before you even start the primary doesn't make much sense to me. You see it sometimes as a last ditch effort to turn around a failed campaign, like when Cruz made Fiorina his VP, but you never see it this early.

I'd view a candidate much more positively if they had a bunch of their team lined up early in the process.  It's impossible for a president to be informed on all the stuff a president has to be involved with.  Rather than them faking it, I'd rather the whole crew be running for election as a unit so I could evaluate the actual people who'd be doing crap.

Jim Leavitt attempted this in his bid for president of kstate football.

They do this in Britain, called the shadow cabinet.  I wish we did it too.

Where do you get this idea?

she's a very, very good politician with demographic appeal to large parts of democratic primary voters.

Like I said, the great thing about Joe “bombs away” Biden  is that you get all that guilt free NeoCon.

Just a shame he’s so old, otherwise you LibDerps could have had another 8 years of complicity.
