here's my o'rourke argument. he's young and charismatic, good-looking and can talk policy without making a fool of himself. he's a white man at a time when white men are running screaming from the democratic party. his support in texas shows he's rough ridin' catnip to suburban whites (i wanna say suburban white women, but i don't know if that's true or if i'm just making a pandering assumption). he should be able to pull hispanics, although it hasn't shown up yet.
and he's from texas and if the democrats can take texas, basically no matter what happens elsewhere, they win.
but, i'd like to see that he can at least hold his own among blacks and hispanics this fall before going too far down this road.
