I hate that this crap works for them. I'm sorry fellow humans.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/us/republican-senator-introduces-anti-trans-bill-to-codify-the-legal-definition-of-sex/ar-AA1uA66V

It's pathetic that bullies who work in washington dc have protections that bullies who live in washington kansas don't. The fact that this particular bully is using her being victimized by a rapist to justify bullying another person, who absolutely isn't a rapist is sick. Nancy Mace should be under a jail.

Really stretching limits to see how willing people are to vote against their own interests. Does this dumb eff think that doing this will make the homeless people in Norman disappear?

Also the headline here doesn't tell the full story about how heinous this is. There is a provision in this bill that specifically includes victims of domestic violence.

if we stop giving them provisions, the problem goes away. homelessness solved. pretty straight forward.

maybe one final handout - give them bootstraps, before ending their programs.

Holy crap. This might be the worst thing posted in this thread. I know it's been said a million times, but i'm fine with them being pieces of crap and doing this stuff. rough ridin' heinous assholes do heinous bad person things. That's just the way it goes. What drives me rough ridin' crazy is how they all seem to be or at least outwardly spout how really religious and "Christian" they are while at the same time doing this crap.

I'd like to think that this is just one crazy legislator putting something forth that won't pass, but it's Oklahoma, so it probably will pass.

I've seen townships pass no loitering laws to try to kick homeless people out. It always pissed me off because they weren't trying to fix a problem. Let someone else deal with it. This would be really shitty.

It’s gotta be that. And even if it passes I cannot imagine how it is constitutional to prevent cities from addressing a need in their communities.

Bless your heart. You must live in one of those states where "small government Republicans" with a supermajority and control of the state's supreme court don't spend their time telling municipalities what to do. Last year, Des Moines ran a pilot UBI program, the pubs didn't like it so they passed a state law that not only barred cities from further expiring exploring UBI programs but mandated that any ongoing program immediately end, of course Des Moines was the only Iowa city doing a UBI program. Of course all the people responsible for outlawing poor people from getting help were reelected, literally all but one of them.

Today was the first day of the legislative session, the Iowa Secretary of State has prefiled a bill that would prevent any ranked choice voting from happening anywhere in Iowa.

Yep, ranked choice will never happen in an R controlled state. They know if it was allowed, the state most likely wouldn't be R controlled anymore.

Ok fine I’ll concede the POS point, but I still doubt the constitutionality of it.

if SCOTUS needs to rule on the constitutionality of it then everything will be just fine.

This is like when Biden told Chuck Graham to stand up at a campaign rally.

I've been saying for years that Abbott and Ken Paxton are way more dangerous than more MAGAs.  They don't give lip service, they act.
