Also the headline here doesn't tell the full story about how heinous this is. There is a provision in this bill that specifically includes victims of domestic violence.

Last year, Des Moines ran a pilot UBI program, the pubs didn't like it so they passed a state law that not only barred cities from further expiring exploring UBI programs but mandated that any ongoing program immediately end, of course Des Moines was the only Iowa city doing a UBI program. Of course all the people responsible for outlawing poor people from getting help were reelected, literally all but one of them.
