How did you get booze when you were underage?

Me and Dr. Spaceman used to have a dude.  This dude worked at the Total across from Sonic on Tuttle Creek Blvd., probably from around 1998 through 2000 I would guess.  His name was Don and was a total hippie who was crazy stoned all the time.  Looked like Ron Slater from Dazed and Confused and he almost always worked Friday or Saturday night which you could tell he resented because it cut down on him doing mad bong rips all night long.  I mean, dude def. did bong rips before work anyway and didn't give a damn who he sold Old Milwaukee 24-packs to, as you could tell from his comically bloodshot eyes.  But I think selling to underagers was maybe his way of sticking it to the man?  Dr. Spaceman would never get turned down by this dude even though we were only in 10th grade.  Dude would sell to a fetus.

Here's to you, hippie dude.  So many franking awesome times were had thanks to your wildly irresponsible selling practices.

Been buying booze since I was 15.

Had a place down on State Ave in KCK that would let me buy no matter what.  I used to wear my HS letter jacket in the place and have a 30 min convo with the owner.  She used to tell me to make sure we were all safe and how she disagreed with the age limit thing.  Other than it being in the ghetto, it was an awesome place.  As long as I was willing to drive deep into KCK, there was never an issue in getting someone to sell to me.

Used to take orders for everyone that I was going to party with that night and go buy $100+ of the cheapest crap that HS kids can drink.

My older bro and my room mate used to take care of it for my first few years at KSU.

I also pulled the old move of where I would  down to the liquor store, stand outside, wait for someone to walk up, then ask them to buy for me.  Usually only took a few tries; at most 30 minutes.  Looking back on it, that was absolutely insane and there's NO WAY that I would ever do that for some kid if I were walking into a liquor store. 

Also walked to random frats sometimes on Friday afternoons after tennis practice in City Park and would walk through asking if anyone was "making a run" anytime soon.  Always worked.  Was also incredibly weird.

I usually wait behind the corner and when someone comes out carrying something I want I jump them and beat them unconcious.  Usually I just take the booze and go but sometimes I leave an ice on their unconcious bodies so they are iced when they come to.

in high school -  pretty much just from "friends" who had older "friends" who left high school and never really got "friends," so they were basically begging to buy younger kids alcohol so they could possibly gain some "friends."

college - older college people.

highschool - would swipe it from our dads or stole it off people at field parties.   easy place to swipe it, park your car close to the fire, look for the people worried about stepping in or too passed out to notice.   

College, just walked down the street looking for keg parties.     Don't ever remember actually keeping it around the house until I was legal.

Had an older brother who never drank and I use to steal his ID then put it back in his wallet.  Eventually, I figured out it was pointless to keep putting it back and just stole it.  It also helped that I looked just like him.  Only got denied once, but that was because I went to school in PA so as soon as someone saw it was a Kansas license they immediately assumed it was a fake.  Still, I was essentially 21 at age 17...it was freaking awesome.  

In high school we bought everything from Grey Goose to St. Ives and Old English depending on what we could afford.  I remember a guy at one store laughing at me cause the one day I bought grey goose and then the next Mickey's.  The one downside was in high school I use to get like grocery lists of booze from kids at school for what they wanted for the weekend and that got old.  I'd charge them, but it was still a pain sometimes.

Then when the dumb thing expired. I was at a place here in PA and the lady behind the counter said she couldn't sell to me because it was expired, I explained I didn't know where the DMV was and couldn't get a new ID.  She gave me directions to the local DMV and then sold to me anyway.  Thankfully I finally turned 21 about a year after his ID expired.  Funny story, then early on using my real ID someone asked me about my birthday and I said my brothers and then had to explain that I had got used to using a fake ID and got the birthday's mixed up.  I showed the guy another form of ID and it was all good.  He got a pretty good laugh out of it.
