If the final isn't Argentina/Brazil I'll be pissed.

Hey guys, some of you seem to think this thing is still going.  It's not, we lost.

I'm rooting for Uruguay because you never hear anything coming out of Uruguay in international news, ever. Plus, about 1% of ppl in the world would know where they are on a map

I'm now rooting for sPAIN.

Cheesy Mustache QB might make an appearance.

New warning: Don't get in a fight with someone who doesn't even need to bother to buy ink.

Not a terrible choice. The only terrible choices left are Portugal and Paraguay b/c Portugal flops more than Italy and Paraguay wants to steal Uruguay's thunder

BRAZIL MIDFIELD IN CRISIS

Brazil's midfield depth will be tested in its quarterfinal match against the Netherlands, as Elano has been ruled out and the statuses of Felipe Melo and Julio Baptista are very much in question as all three are nursing injuries.

Elano, who absorbed a hard tackle against the Ivory Coast and has a bone bruise in his ankle, was forced to leave training Tuesday and has been ruled out for the upcoming match by Brazil's team doctor.

Felipe Melo, who hurt his ankle against Portugal, is doubtful for the game against the Dutch, and Julio Baptista is also battling an injury ahead of Friday's contest. All three players missed the Selecao's last game against Chile.

Making matters worse for Dunga, Ramires is suspended for the match against the Dutch after picking up his second yellow card of the tournament against Chile. The healthy/non-suspended midfielders remaining on Brazil's roster are Gilberto Silva, Kaka, Josue and Kleberson, though defender Dani Alves has been used as a right-side midfielder in the last two matches.

poor Brazil

Netherlands might surprise ??? Robben can strike at almost anytime and if they can somehow get an early lead I can see them holding on due to their technical ability, consistency and focus they've shown throughout.  they just don't give the ball away.

also don't be surprised if Brazil comes out of this game w/ more injuries.  the Dutch defensive mid, De Jong, is a harsh tackler and broke American Stu Holden's leg in a friendly back in early March.

from all indications being high makes the dutch better at everything.

All things considered it's actually pretty incredible we've managed to be as competitive as we've been.
