I really enjoy how there is no inbetween liking the USMNT and liking how good of a player Messi is. Definitely can't do both. Don't try it.

You don't like the sport. You like a team, or the abstract concept of a team which you somehow identify with as a bum typing on a computer more than you like the actual sport that the team exists to play.
