You're twisting LD's words. He is relaying the fact that some only want to play because they have a higher chance for success with us than other countries, whether it be a chance to play in a World Cup or a chance to actually get playing time. It is my preference that they have other reasons to play for us than that. I realize you all disagree with me to some degree.

Yes, eff Wynalda.

Fine, but what do you do with American born players that aren't all "AMERICA eff YEAH!!!!" they just want to play soccer. I'm willing to bet that most guys aren't crying when they finally get a chance to put that jersey they grew up rooting for as a kid, they just want to play soccer. You know our soccer culture enough to know that there are a lot of kids in America still today that play soccer, like soccer, but don't list the USA as their favorite team. We are in a time of our greatest success. Some of the veterans of this team had to grow up watching Steve Sampson's US squad, how can they be expected to have a burning desire to play for America?  If Germany wanted Michael Bradley he'd be gone in a flash and his freaking dad coached the national team. These things will get better with continued success. One good semi-final run will see some of those Brazil, Portugal, and Germany jerseys worn by American kids replaced with the ol' stars and bars.

What was that Wynalda tweet?

Hard to argue any of that. I don't know if any of that is affecting the team, but I've heard a million times that the team is super clique'y - especially among the German Americans. Impossible to blame them because most of them are probably much more comfortable speaking German than English. Is that a bad thing affecting performance on the field? No idea. Probably not cause these guys are professionals, but it definitely isn't a good thing.

My bad, it was an unrelated tweet saying Miazga is probably going to England:

What? You don't think kids in America don't grow up wanting to play for the Confederacy?  ;)

Omar Gonzalez signed for Pachuca and wore a Vader costume in the unveiling.

Some rumors that Jose may take over England's national team. Will give him good practice to take over after Vermes retires after he manages us to the '22 WC that gets moved to America with the Final at Arrowhead stadium in which I have club seats for.

Doesn't matter. Going to Chelsea will not hinder his development no matter what happens to him.

So he'll be the 5th best CB currently on the roster until the season ends.
