Wow, Canada could actually do it considering Honduras seems to suck now.

And as noted Alvarado was putrid again.  It's bad when Twellmen, who is usually pretty vanilla, is openly calling for players on broadcast because the coach is making such absurd personnel decisions.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2563398-jurgen-klinsmann-has-only-himself-to-blame-for-usmnt-loss-to-brazil

"Yedlin may have had the worst night of any American on the pitch, as he produced a few giveaways that led to goals. The winger allowed Brazil to move forward with ease in the ninth minute after he gave the ball away in front of the penalty area. To make matters worse, Yedlin watched Hulk from a distance as the forward collected Willian's cross from off the post and slotted home the opener."

I'm stunned by this paragraph. You're blaming an attacking mid/winger for "losing" a mark in between the goal box and the pk mark when you have the center backs literally wondering away from their responsibilities?  If anything, Yedlin was the only one attempting to defend in the 9th minute to stop the hilariously easy crosses raining in.

Not to nit pick but Twellman is the total opposite of vanilla he takes MLS and US Soccer to task routinely on a variety of topics. He absolutely murdered Jurgen when he left Landon off of the World Cup roster. I think Taylor Twellman is the best analyst in American sports.

I agree his analysis is a bright spot for broadcasts.  I don't recall his comments on Donovan, so I can't speak to that, but I felt like his comments on call ups (specifically on the dumping of our SKC members) has been a long time coming.  I'm just glad that someone is making this public in a forceful way.  It's one thing for fans to say stuff, but another for broadcasters to question these decisions.

idk who i hate more, the Club over Country dorks who openly cheer against the US in friendlies, or the fans who think we don't have the talent to be the power in this confederation.

For the most part Brits never think US Soccer is good enough for anything although England hasn't outperformed the US in international competition in decades. I hate Steve Nicol, I stopped watching ESPNFC because I couldn't stand how smug he is, eff him.

The English National Football Team is by far and away the most underachieving entity in sports imo.

Cody Cropper undergoing knee surgery - out 4 to 6 weeks. Hoping we see Zach Steffen in Olympic Qualifying now. He's a freak and the next longterm USMNT starter imo.

Well, if Benny isn't picked now it is never going to happen. We are off before and after the break around that match. Sporting is off for a week before and a week after the playoff.

I would say there is zero chance Benny gets picked.

There's not a 0% chance he won't get picked for a 35 man roster,  you're being dramatic again.
