 :gocho:

what's this all about

The US scored a goal (2 actually) in our qualifier in Panama. We had already qualified and could have lost, but we equalized and took the lead both in stoppage time. Zusi and Johannsson scored. If neither scored, and we lost, Mexico would have been eliminated from the World Cup, and Panama would have qualified (or played NZ in the playoff, Idk).

Sounds like the rest of the North American soccer squads are our puppets.

I didn't think Mexico would do anything in the WC, but now that they're kicking ass all over the place, i'm glad they made it. Panama would just be another Honduras, imo

Yes, the WC is better with Mexico. They are the second (third?) best representative of CONCACAF.

Kids, I don't watch a lot of soccer/futbol, but I always watch the World Cup when the U.S. is in it.   I was USA'ing my face off last night.   That said, and I realize that like any sport mistakes can be made . . . the first goal the U.S. gave up last night was one of the lamest goals I've ever personally seen given up in a World Cup match.   Most OG's are just bad luck, being in the wrong place at the wrong time.

That said, that was a well played game by the U.S. overall.   But as the adage goes, don't get beat deep at the end of the game.
