Does one need to adopt the desire for flopping and wanting to advance with only one win to be considered a real fan? If so, count me out. Seems like a soft mentality. Perhaps this is why soccer will never make it in the US?

If the US can't go out and get another win or two ties, they don't deserve to move on in my eyes.

I don't care if you think of yourself as a real fan or not. You're absolutely wrong. In tournaments, there is one goal in group play: advance. No one gives a rough ridin' crap how you do it except dumbasses like you.

In certain situations in soccer, teams play for ties. I don't care if you like that or not. Part of the sport.

I agree that the one goal is to advance. Beat Portugal and advance. I don't know why you took issue with that in the first place.
