If this blows up, Jurgen's ass won't be around to see them. I have never been the biggest Landon fan but I'm very pissed about this. Jurgen was proving a point, there are guys up front and on the wings that aren't inarguably better than Donovan.

Jurgen said he saw Donovan as more of a forward. The guys on the wings are much better than Donovan for the style of attack that we use, and I can't really believe that Donovan would work up top now that he has lost a step. I think it makes sense.

I'll take a guy who knows how to score goals over a young athlete anyday. That is true in most sports.

What would Donovan actually add to this squad? Everything he brings to the table, someone else brings more of, except for being a step behind and a defensive liability.

it's just a lot of goal scoring production that is now a vacuum. i mean it was going to happen sometime, it's just strange to see it happen now, right after LD showed he was in pretty fantastic form. (he's 32, not 38)

Absolutely, there are better players than him on the roster. Julian Green is absolutely not one of them. Same thing goes for Goodson. He's much better than Brooks. Anyone arguing for LD to be on the roster is just arguing for there to be the best 23 players going to the World Cup which is only every four years. Honestly, I don't disagree with that.
