Finished the league in 2nd with a 5-1-2 record. Had first post season tourney this past weekend. Brought home the gold. Ninjas scored 17 goals in the 4 games. dobber jr. scored 7 of them. Had a second half hat trick in the first game. 2 of the 7 goals were with his off foot, one with authority on a cross. Missed a header off the cross bar on a corner. Pretty much dominated the whole effing weekend. A kid on the other team in the finals told him, "You ain't got no skills," so jr 'megged him and then took the goalie 1 on 1 with one of those outside foot easy rollers by the goalie's left when the goalie went right. I had him kiss the trophy in a photo after the game (kiss the rings-
). Has another tourney in two weeks.
dobber juniorette's season came to an end this weekend. 1-7. It was a struggle. She hustles for the snacks at the end of the game. She high-fived and hugged an opponent (friend) in a game after said opponent scored a goal. Coach told her that she hustled on a substitution, which is a start. Her team is a bunch of misfits with 2 girls that can kind of play. In their lone win, one girl scored all 5 goals, beating the other team 5-3. dobber juniorette wants to play on a better team next season.
baby dobber can now walk around with a ball at his feet without looking down. He still dribbles all the way to the back of the net and then comes running out yelling "goal!" Gets tangled up less than half the time!
